About the Project
A 5,600 square foot interior remodel of an existing Radiology Office Facility in 6 months. RMCI installed 2 new X-Ray machines, a new 3T MRI machine, a new PET/CT machine, new breakroom and reading room for Docs, and a new lobby waiting and dressing rooms. All of the construction was done while keeping the facility open to the public 5 days a week.
Challenges
This project was a phased project so that the Doctors could still operate their facility and see patients while construction was underway. Maintaining safe paths of travel, limiting confusion, and getting patients in and out of the facility proved to be challenging. We also had the parking lot torn apart for installation of new electrical feeders running underground and it was congestion on top of congestion.
Our Approach
Communication and coordination was a must for this project. Weekly meetings were held to keep everyone on the same page and fluid and R. McKinley provided extra staffing in an effort to minimize safety hazards, improve efficiency, and keep the project moving forward.
